Joos Joiners is a family-run manufacturing and design studio based in Cape Town, specialising in bespoke kitchens and interior joinery.

Our story began in 1971 when our father, Joseph Joos, a trained joiner from Belgium, founded the business in a small garage in Parow. What started with window and door frames gradually evolved into custom cabinetry and joinery as the company grew.

In 1982, the company moved to a purpose-built factory in Stikland, Bellville, where we are still based today. When we joined the business in 1992, we continued building on our father’s foundation — combining traditional joinery knowledge with modern design and technology.

Today, Joos Joiners operates from a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility where most components are produced in-house. This level of control allows us to deliver consistent quality across everything we create — from bespoke kitchens and private residences to large-scale property developments and commercial projects.

While manufacturing remains at the heart of what we do, Joos has evolved beyond a traditional joinery factory. We collaborate closely with homeowners, architects, designers and developers to design, manufacture and install complete interior joinery solutions. Leo leads the factory operations and production team, while Jos heads up sales, design and client collaboration.

More than fifty years later, we remain a family business — still guided by the values our father started with, spaces made with care, precision and pride!

Our Factory

At Joos, our factory is more than a workshop. It is a highly equipped production space where advanced technology and craftsmanship work side by side. We have invested in industry-leading Italian machinery from Biesse, trusted internationally in high-end and large-scale production.

At the start of our production process are our two industrial Biesse Beam Saws, delivering precise and efficient panel cutting. From there, components move through our Stream A edgebanders, ensuring refined edging. The Biesse Skipper streamlines the process with remarkable speed and flexibility, designed specifically for high-speed drilling. Our Rover CNC machine is capable of precision drilling, routing and shaping down to fractions of a millimeter, perfect for intricate detailing. The Kuper Veneer Stitcher allows us to produce seamless veneer work. Veneer is then pressed in-house to ensure a consistent bond, refined finish and exceptional quality throughout every panel.

Every stage of production takes place in different divisions all under one roof, including our dedicated in-house spray facility where cabinetry is spray-finished in custom colours to suit each individual project. We also operate our own fleet of delivery trucks, every component carefully wrapped, protected and transported by our team. This combination of state-of-the-art machinery, technical expertise and a hands-on team allows Joos to deliver bespoke joinery on the scale and standard we are known for!
